In spite of being really well-written, I found the plot to be very predictable and the characters a bit cartoonish.
I mean, even though the setting was perfect (The dark, dark wood), some dialogues were funny, and the whole story was entertaining, it was not my kind of mystery at all. I prefer darker, more unpredictable characters. The ones here were pretty obvious in their motives. Sometimes it felt as if the author had put together a conglomoration of cliches and tropes of the genre to make it look as a mystery...but it didin't really accomplished much, just some cheesy scenes and a predictable ending.
It HAD a lot of potential but nothing really happened- at least not after the 50% mark and, even then, the story developed in a Very, very dissapointing way.
